“If you could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint.”
– Edward Hopper
My mother had a dream. A dream to capture dad, her and me in one frame uniquely.
Her thought process was rare and that spirit of hers has always created wonders.
So, why do I share this with you all while posting this potrait?
It’s because, this painting talks about our family through an idea seen my mum, conceptualized and coloured flawlessly by an exceptional budding artist named Shraddha!
So here is the story in this masterpiece:
The characters:
The Strong dad – Known as Arun
The name ‘Arun’ means ‘the Dawn’. In sanskrit this name signifies ‘life giving power”. Standing up to his name, he truly is our support system showing us the way to live.
The Super Mom – Known as Dipti.
Like her name she was, is and will always be “the last ray of hope when all hope is lost”. Anything more need be said?
The Compassionate Husband – Known as Shriram
Every one would relate this name to Lord Ram. A supreme power and someone who would be pleasing, rejoicing, charming and beautiful. I second that!
The Me – Known as Saudamini
Oh yes! As said earlier too, many would relate the meaning of my name to my attributes. Lightning and thundering like it is!
The story
Saudamini’s energy is stationed in Ram. He uses his mighty power to let her radiate the light gifted to her by Arun and Dipti. The energy released is so vibrant that it makes wonders happen.
The unseen fact remains – the flame of hope instilled by Dipti within Shriram and the constant support from Arun helps him continue moulding their life they shared with him.

A complete picture isn’t it?
