Back home, on CA Day

For years, I lived this day from the other side.

Inside the committee. Behind the scenes. The one making sure everything came together for everyone else.

This time, something shifted. This time, I stood at the ICAI AI Innovation Summit 2026 representing Miles Education.

The event ran two days. But its heart lived in everything that came before – the strategy, the logistics, the words on every panel, the pitch, every small inch of the stall shaped with intent. And somewhere in the middle of it all, a feeling I still can't name washed over me. I was home. Back to the days I lived and breathed as a CA.

Everyone in my circle knows the choice I made. Becoming a Chartered Accountant, then stepping into marketing, was never an accident – it was a decision made with clear eyes. To follow my passion without ever letting go of the rigour, the judgement, and the discipline that being a CA built in me.

And over time, I've come to see that this wasn't a departure from the profession. It was a way of serving it differently. Because when you've sat where Chartered Accountants sit – carried their responsibility, understood their language, felt the weight of getting it right – you talk to them not as an audience, but as your own. You speak to what they truly need, and how they need to hear it. It's the reason I do this work the way I do.

I had imagined myself in the quieter corners of the event. But the day had its own plans, and handed me the chance to give voice to the brand I carry, beside a team I'm honoured to be a part of.

And then came the moments that stay with you. Introducing myself to past president CA Charanjot Singh Nanda as a member of the Mangalore ICAI. And so many others who, in a single conversation, reminded me exactly where I come from and how far this journey has carried me.

On CA Day, this is what matters.

To every Chartered Accountant – in audit rooms, in boardrooms, and in the unexpected places like mine – here's to us. We carry the depth, the discipline, and the heart of this profession wherever life takes us.
